چکیده

Level density and level density parameter in medium heavy nuclei including thermal and quantal fluctuation effects Abstract In a realistic application of the SPA + RPA theory for calculation of the nuclear level densities we find that quantal fluctuation corrections (RPA) are important even up to temperature T = 2.0 M eV. This leads to a good agreement between calculated numbers and the available experimental data for 104 P d and 114 Sn, particularly the excitation energy (E *) dependence. Furthermore, we also argue that a = S 2 /4E * is the only correct definition of the level density parameter in the present context which is also consistent with the Bethe like level density formula.

محاسبه و بررسی سیستماتیکی پارامتر چگالی ترازهای هسته‌ای

The knowledge of nuclear reaction rates is important for studying energy production and nucleosynthesis, especially in reactions including nuclei far from stability line, which are not accessible experimentally so far and thus it is necessary to be able to predict reaction cross sections in low excitation energies. Nuclear level density is one of the important key quantities in many nuclear phy...

Calculation of nuclear level density parameter as a function of tmperature and mass number

Nuclear level density is one of the most important concepts in nuclear physics; basically, it is the key in dealing with nuclear statistical problems. This quantity plays an essential role in the statistical calculation of reactor physics, astrophysics, researches in the average energy of heavy- ion collision and calculations related to neutron evaporation and other applications. This quantity ...

Determination of nuclear level densities from experimental information.

A novel Information Theory based method for determining the density of states from prior information is presented. The energy dependence of the density of states is determined from the observed number of states per energy interval and model calculations suggest that the method is sufficiently reliable to calculate the thermal properties of nuclei over a reasonable temperature range. 21.10.Ma Ty...

We utilize the Shell Model Monte Carlo (SMMC) method to study the structure of rare earth nuclei. This work demonstrates the first systematic " full oscillator shell plus intruder " calculations in such heavy nuclei. Exact solutions of a pairing plus quadrupole hamiltonian are compared with mean field and SPA approximations in several Dysprosium isotopes from A = 152 − 162, including the odd ma...
